GoodBye Odor

Cleaning and grooming your new dog or cat is important, but what about problems you can’t see on the outside? Cats can have odor issues, and litterboxes may smell. While you’re getting used to your new pet, you don’t need to get used to these new, unpleasant smells. Marshall Pet Products takes care of odor concerns with GoodBye Odor. GoodBye Odor can be added to your cat’s food daily and will virtually eliminate feline odors with just three pumps a day. Made from natural ingredients, GoodBye Odor works naturally and gently in the digestive system, neutralizing odor-causing substances. After a few days of continuous use, urine and fecal odors are virtually gone.

Cuddle up to your new cat without being scared to get too close because of odors. You will definitely know your loving new cat is in the house, but you can forget about offensive smells from the littler box. An 8 oz. bottle retails for $12.99 and can be found at a retailer near you or online.

PetWork note: Be sure to check with your veterinarian before adding any supplement or other product to your cat’s diet.

In honor of St. Patrick’s Day and due to the high number of pets awaiting homes in the shelter, Nevada Humane Society waived pet adoption fees for loving homes. In just four days, from March 11-14, 2010, 232 dogs, cats, and small animals were adopted, a new record for Nevada Humane Society!

There were many heartwarming success stories throughout the weekend like thirteen-year-old Olympia sauntering out the front door with her old, favorite ball in her mouth and Sammy, a 25-pound cat who was hand-selected for a new life of cuddling as a soap opera buddy

“We want to thank everyone who made this adoption drive so successful for so many dogs and cats. The community really opened their hearts in record numbers.” said Bonney Brown, Executive Director. “It used to be that shelters thought that you had to charge a lot of money for pets to guarantee good homes, but recent studies show that there is no connection between money and love when it comes to pets. Turns out what matters is making good matches.”

Thanks to the hard work and support of a grassroots movement of dog lovers, the Massachusetts House just moved forward on HB 344, An Act Prohibiting De-vocalization, as written! In an overwhelming 150-1 vote, the House moved the bill forward where it will now be heard by the state Senate (the lone dissenting vote was Rep. George Peterson, R-Seventh Worcester).

What to do today? Hug a legislator!

Call, email, or most appreciated of all, send a hard-copy note. It doesn’t have to be long. Thank- you notes are important, and not just because your mom said so; they help cement relationships with legislators, encouraging them to embrace future humane bills.

If you choose to email, put “Thank you for supporting H344!” in the subject line. Then write a short message, with your name and address. Constituents rule.

Please also thank the heroes of the day, who saved the bill, even if they’re not your representatives.
