Sedona Labs Launches All-New Healthy Pets Supplements With Human Quality Ingredients

August 11, 2010 by The PetWork®

America is having a love affair with its pets. The 2009-2010 National Pet Owners Survey reports that 62% of American households own a pet, or about 71 million homes. In 2010, American households will spend an estimated $47.7 billion on their pets, primarily in food and supplies/OTC medicine.

Nutrition is key for pet owners, who now more than ever seek to maintain their pets’ overall wellness and quality of life. The good news is that there has never been a better time for pet nutrition in terms of formulation, research, clinical breakthroughs and the sheer quality of pet supplementation. Now, more than ever, pet health is about premium nutrients for preventative care.

Human-Grade Pet Nutrition

“We discovered what we viewed as a real gap within the supplements industry,” says Donna Cappiello, Sedona Labs National Sales Director. “There seemed to be a disproportional emphasis placed on the quality of human supplements versus the quality of pet supplements. You hear so much about premium ingredients for people, but what about human-grade ingredients for our pets?”

“Our pets are members of our families,” says Cappiello. “They impact every aspect of our lives. We want to give them the same care and nourishment we’d give any family member.”

Sedona Labs has formulated two pet supplements using the very same nutrients featured in their well-known consumer products. “The quality of our nutrients always comes first at Sedona Labs,” says Cappiello. “We select only the finest ingredient sources for both our human and pet supplements.”

iFlora Healthy Pets promotes balanced digestion. Probiotics, or beneficial flora that help replenish natural, health-supporting colonies in the digestive tract, top many consumers’ lists of “must-have” nutrients. Probiotics promote digestive and immune health from the body’s center, the digestive system.

Probiotics can do the same for pets, by helping to support a balanced internal microflora colony for healthy elimination, digestion, immune health, bladder health, and colon health.

“We’ve combined five well-researched probiotic strains with 18 vegetarian enzymes to produce a truly complete digestive formula – iFlora® Health Pets,” says Cappiello. “You will not find a pet supplement on the market that compares to the quality and unique formulation of this product.”

In addition to iFlora® Healthy Pets, Sedona Labs is also offering Colostrum Healthy Pets, a 100% New Zealand colostrum formula.

“New Zealand colostrum sets the mark for purity,” says Cappiello. “It is gathered from range-fed herds and is guaranteed free of hormones, pesticides, and steroids. Our New Zealand colostrum is never exposed to prolonged high heat to ensure purity.”

Colostrum, often called “The first food of life” for the nourishing health benefits it offers mammals before mother’s first milk, is all-natural and appropriate for adult and newborn animals. Colostrum supports immune health and intestinal lining health, a center for immunity in your pet’s body.
