Note: Many pet food pantries around the country are struggling to help pet owners; please donate to your local pet food pantry.

The Pet Pantry at Suncoast Humane Society (Englewood, Florida 34224) helps pet owners in need to care for their animals. SHS partners with several local church food pantries and Meals on Wheels to provide struggling pet owners with the food and supplies needed to care for their pets.

This program helps to keep pets in their homes where they belong, rather than see an increase in animals being relinquished to shelters. The need in the community is great and the shelves are nearly empty. If you can help, please bring unopened bags and cans of cat or dog food to any of Suncoast’s three Thrift Store locations or the Animal Care Center on San Casa Drive in Englewood. Donation receipts are available.
