Cautiously, Ivan walks into my office with his foster volunteer. His legs tremble with fear, being outside the comfort of his once-home, he’s timid and unsure. I offer him a treat, a pat on the head, and a kind word. At first he is reluctant, but he quickly learns he’s safe and sits down, offers me his paw, and eats his treat.
Every day, we see animals who have been neglected, abused, or abandoned. The staff and volunteers at Larimer Humane Society step in to give them a hand.
