From the Escondido Humane Society (Escondido, California 92027)
The days are getting shorter and the temperatures are cooling, which means one thing: winter is here. One way our community can endure the winter season is by surrounding themselves by the warmth and comfort of a new furry friend.
The Escondido Humane Society is reducing adoption fees to just $25 the entire month of December to make it even easier to adopt. EHS has many wonderful dogs, cats and bunnies in all shapes, sizes, ages and personalities, and they all are eager to spend the holidays with a family.
Adoption fees include spay/neuter; microchip with lifetime registration; up-to-date vaccinations; dog licensing (Escondido, San Marcos and Poway areas only); wellness exam after adoption; and behavior support for dogs and cats for lifetime of animal.
Regular adoption fees are $110 for puppies and kittens up to 6 months; $85 for adult dogs and cats (6 months and up); $55 for senior dogs and cats (7 years and up); and $45 for all bunnies.
For more information, call (760) 888-2275 or log on to the Escondido Humane Society web site to view adoptable animals online. The Escondido Humane Society Adoption Center is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days a week.
